Christian Community CoD World at War Server

Postby VinVerTaz » Mon Feb 08, 2010 12:56 pm

Hi My Brothers,

Recently we were approached at Men of God by a very generous person that wanted to donate a server to us. Which we thought was pretty darn nice. So we began to figure out what was the best way to work with this one.

What we decided was that we would make this a "Christian Gaming Community" server. In other words we set it up so that any of the Christian Gaming Ministries/Clans could come and have a presence there, to evangelize and bless gamers. We did not want to make it a Men of God server...but we wanted it to be a place where we all could get together in Unity and work as a family to bring Christ to Gamers.

So here is the IP to the server. It is a Call of Duty 5 (World at War) server. The IP will look a tad strange as it is not the typical IP (it is kind of a link I guess is the best way to put it), but if you type it into console (or HLSW if you use that) it works just fine. CoD.selfip.org:29000

Would love to see you guys and gals over there. Please spread the word.

MoG is also opening a CoD2 server (AWE mod) that you could come and play on if you have the game installed.

CoD2 IP = 69.5.88.133:28900

I guess I'll have to load WAW into my laptop and check it out. Thanks.

Hi Guys,

8) You guys are welcome. I have to get CoD2 re-loaded myself. And, just re-installed CoD4 for when we start that server back up also.

One of our guys mentioned you all and so I came over to invite ya. You can thank MoG-Jedidiah.

If you guys have other Christian Groups that you are allies with, let them know. Would love to see as many Christian Gamers from different groups all working together to spread the word.

HooAh!

It is good to see brothers working together to provide a gaming platform for Christians and non alike it is a witnessing oppurtunity to say the least. I have played on your server in the past (waw) but I am a Cod4 man at heart. I want to say thanks for providing the platform and best wishes in your endeavor with MW2.

A question will you be able to control and filter language on the mw2 server and provide an in game message like is done on other servers.

Yeah, MW2 does not have dedicated servers and MoG boycotted that game. Some of the guys bought it. But, we pretty much gave up on it when we couldn't use a dedicated server.
